While the research did find a number of orgs that were unaware of CC and Creative Archive, I actually think that it revealed quite an impact of this type of licensing in the sector. Copyright is esoteric even for lawyers, and it is a resource intensive area. Some of the orgs surveyed are very small, and so I don't think it is surprising the level of awareness. On the contrary, I think that while there is a definite group of orgs that are unware, that open content licensing is having a big impact.

Of course one of the major obstacles to using the licences is the orphan works issue and making sure that good IP management practices are in place.</description>
